Detailed Description:
This high-quality heat-shrinkable tube features an undeployed internal diameter of approximately 10 mm (Φ10 mm) before shrinking and is supplied in a continuous 100-metre roll, making it ideal for larger cables, bundles or harnessing runs requiring bulk length. The tube is packaged in a brown colour — useful for colour-coding wiring systems or matching installation aesthetics. Manufactured from durable cross-linked polyolefin (or equivalent industry material), this tubing offers reliable electrical insulation, mechanical protection and environmental sealing when applied over wires, cable splices, connectors or harness bundles.
Key Features:
-
Nominal inner diameter: ~10 mm (before shrink) — able to slide over larger cable bundles or connectors, then shrink to provide a snug and protective coverage.
-
Colour: Brown — useful for visual identification, wiring organisation or matching panel/loom colour schemes.
-
Roll length: 100 metres — economical for medium-sized installation runs or service stock.
-
Material & performance: Utilises cross-linked polyolefin heat-shrink material which is widely used due to its good electrical insulation, mechanical durability, chemical/abrasion resistance and wide operating temperature range.
-
Shrink behaviour: When heated, heat-shrink tubing shrinks radially (and slightly longitudinally) to conform tightly around the underlying component — typical shrink ratios include 2:1, 3:1 or even up to 4:1 depending on the variant.
-
Applications: Suitable for insulating and protecting wires, cables, harness bundles, terminations and splices in electrical systems; ideal in industrial equipment, control panels, automotive wiring, telecommunications and other installations where a 10 mm diameter coverage is required.
-
Installation guidance: Slide the tube onto the cable or joint before connecting. After connection is complete, position the tubing over the joint/area to cover and apply uniform heat (for example with a hot‐air gun) until the tubing has fully recovered and formed a tight, conforming layer. Avoid direct flame contact, ensure even heating to prevent overheating or damage.
