Detailed Description:
This premium heat-shrinkable tubing is supplied in a continuous 100-metre roll, featuring a nominal undeployed internal diameter of approximately 16 mm (Φ16 mm) before shrink. The colour is grey, ideal for neutral or industrial colour-coding, panel wiring bundles, or visual consistency across installations. Manufactured from high-quality cross-linked polyolefin (or equivalent heat-shrink material), the tube offers excellent electrical insulation, mechanical protection and environmental sealing when applied over cables, harness bundles, splices or connectors.

Key features:

  • Nominal inner diameter: ~16 mm before shrink — suitable to slide over larger cables or bundles, then shrink to form a snug and protective coverage.

  • Colour: Grey — useful for neutral-tone wiring harnesses, industrial panel aesthetics, or where colour-coding is required but subtle.

  • Roll length: 100 metres — cost-efficient for moderate to large-scale runs, stock, or bulk installations.

  • Material & performance: Polyolefin heat shrink tubing is known for excellent insulation, strong abrasion/chemical resistance, flame retardancy and a wide operating temperature range (for example –55 °C to +135 °C typical).

  • Shrink behaviour: Upon heating, it contracts radially (and only slightly longitudinally) to conform tightly to the underlying component. This ensures secure insulation and protection.

  • Applications: Well-suited for insulating and protecting large wire bundles, cable harnesses, splices, and terminations in industrial control panels, automation equipment, telecommunications installations or any environment where a ~16 mm diameter cover and grey colour are required.

  • Installation guidance: Slide the un-shrunk tubing onto the cable or bundle before making connections. After assembly, position the tubing over the joint or area to cover and apply uniform heat (e.g., hot-air gun) until the tubing fully contracts and conforms around the substrate. Avoid direct flame and ensure even heating for best results.

  • Benefits:

    • Neat, professional appearance and wiring finish

    • Colour-coding via grey aids system organisation and aesthetic uniformity

    • Reliable insulation and protection from mechanical abrasion, dust, moisture, contaminants

    • Bulk roll format (100 m) supports efficient installation with minimal roll changes
