Detailed Description:
This heat-shrinkable tubing is designed with a nominal internal diameter of approximately Φ20 mm (20 mm) before shrinking and is supplied in a continuous 100-metre roll — ideal for larger cable bundles, harness systems, industrial installations or bulk wiring runs. The product is coloured blue, making it suited for colour-coding, circuit identification or aesthetic alignment in wiring installations. Built from high-quality material (commonly cross-linked polyolefin), it provides excellent electrical insulation, mechanical protection and environmental sealing when installed over cables, splices, connectors or harness bundles.
Key Features:
-
Nominal diameter: ~20 mm before shrinking — allows the tubing to fit over large cables or bundles and then shrink to form a tight, protective covering.
-
Colour: Blue — enhances visual identification of wiring bundles or circuits, supports colour-coding schemes.
-
Roll length: 100 metres — convenient for moderate-to-large installation runs or stock for service/maintenance.
-
Material & performance: Polyolefin is widely used for heat-shrink tubing because of its strong insulation properties, flexibility, abrasion/chemical resistance and ability to operate across a wide temperature range.
-
Typically operational in approximately –55 °C to +135 °C range.
-
Offers excellent protection against moisture, dust, abrasion and provides neat finishing of wiring runs.
-
-
Shrink behaviour & specification: Heat-shrink tubing contracts radially when heated, often at ratios such as 2:1, 3:1 or more — meaning it can shrink to half or one-third (or less) of its original diameter depending on variant.
-
Applications: Perfect for insulating and protecting large-diameter cable bundles, harnesses in industrial, panel-build, automation and control systems where a 20 mm coverage is required and visual identification via blue colour is useful.
-
Installation guidance:
-
Slide the tubing over the cable/joint before making the connection.
-
After completing the connection/splice, position the tubing so it covers the relevant area.
-
Apply uniform heat (e.g., hot-air gun) until the tubing shrinks and conforms tightly around the underlying component.
-
Avoid direct flame contact or overheating to prevent damage.
-
-
Benefits:
-
Provides a professional finish and neat cable bundling/organization.
-
Colour-coded blue helps with visual system identification.
-
Offers strong insulation, mechanical/abrasion protection and environmental sealing.
-
Bulk roll format (100 m) supports efficient installations with fewer roll changes, reducing downtime and inventory complexity.
