Detailed Description:
This heat-shrinkable tube is designed with a nominal internal diameter of Φ4 mm (4 mm) before shrink, and comes in a 200-metre continuous roll, making it ideal for large-scale electrical installations, wiring harness production, maintenance stock or service applications. Manufactured from high-quality cross-linked polyolefin (or equivalent heat-shrink material), it provides robust insulation, mechanical protection and environmental shielding when applied over wires, cable joints, splices or connectors. Key highlights:

  • Nominal diameter: ~4 mm before shrink — slides over wires/cables of similar outer diameter, then shrinks snugly around the substrate.

  • Colour: Blue – useful for colour-coding bundles, differentiating circuits, aligning with corporate colour schemes or visual identification.

  • Roll length: 200 metres — economical option for bulk usage, reducing roll change-overs and minimizing down time.

  • Material & performance: Polyolefin (commonly) heat shrink tubing offers strong electrical insulation, durability, chemical resistance and dimensional recovery when heated. For example, heat-shrink tubing is used to insulate wires and provide environmental protection.

  • Shrink behaviour: When properly heated, the tubing contracts radially (and slightly longitudinally) to form a firm, protective covering around the underlying joint or cable.

  • Applications: Ideal for wiring bundles in control panels, automotive harnesses, industrial machines, telecom/IT cabling, and colour-coded cable runs where blue indicates a specific circuit classification or identity.

  • Installation tips: Slide the un-shrunk length of tubing onto the wire or cable before making connections or splices. After the joint is complete, position the tubing appropriately and apply uniform heat (typically with a hot-air gun) from one end to the other until the tubing fully contracts and conforms. Avoid using direct flame to prevent damage.

  • Benefits: Provides professional finish, neat appearance, reliable insulation, and protection from moisture, dust and mechanical abrasion. The blue colour aids in visual system organization and circuit identification. The 200-metre roll format ensures you have sufficient length for large runs or stock, minimizing downtime for replenishment.
