Detailed Description:
This heat-shrinkable tube comes in brown colour, with a nominal undeployed internal diameter of approximately Φ6 mm (6 mm), supplied on a continuous 200-metre roll — ideal for bulk wiring harness production, large cable runs, service stock inventories or large-scale installations. Manufactured from cross-linked polyolefin (or equivalent shrink material) it provides reliable insulation, mechanical protection and environmental sealing when applied over wires, cables, joints or terminations.
Key features:
-
Nominal inner diameter: ~6 mm (before shrink) — suitable to pass over typical cables/wires near this outer diameter, then after heat application the tube shrinks to fit and provide snug coverage.
-
Colour: Brown — useful for colour-coding wiring bundles, matching design/aesthetic requirements or underside-panel applications.
-
Roll length: 200 metres — provides cost-efficiency for large runs or stock, reducing roll changes and simplifying inventory.
-
Material & performance: Polyolefin heat-shrink tubing exhibits a wide operating temperature range (for example -55 °C to +135 °C for many types) and excellent insulation, chemical and abrasion resistance.
-
Shrink behaviour: Typically the tubing will shrink radially (and only modestly longitudinally) when heated — many polyolefin tubes have shrink ratios like 2:1, 3:1 or 4:1.
-
Applications: Ideal for electrical wiring insulation, cable bundling, protecting splices/terminals, colour-coded harness assemblies in industrial machines, panel wiring, automotive or general electrical installations where brown colour is preferred.
-
Installation guidance: Slide the unheated tubing over the wire or splice before making the connection. After connection, position the tubing over the joint and apply uniform heat (for example using a hot-air gun) until the tubing has fully contracted and conforms tightly to the underlying substrate. Avoid direct open flame or overheating.
-
Benefits: Provides clean, professional finishing of cable runs; colour coding (brown) aids visual organisation; bulk roll format (200 m) is economical; strong insulation and environmental protection.
