Detailed Description:
This premium heat-shrinkable tubing is supplied in a continuous 100-metre roll and has an approximate undeployed inner diameter of 8 mm (Φ8 mm) before heat activation. The colour is blue, making it ideal for colour-coding, identifying wiring bundles, or matching specific cable installation aesthetics. Manufactured from high-quality cross-linked polyolefin (or equivalent heat-shrinkable material), it offers excellent electrical insulation, mechanical protection and environmental sealing when applied over wires, cable splices, connectors or harnesses.

Key features:

  • Nominal inner diameter: ~8 mm before shrink, enabling it to slide over cables, bundles or joints of this size and then shrink to a snug fit.

  • Colour: Blue – useful for colour-coding wiring bundles, differentiating circuit types or matching panel/loom aesthetics.

  • Roll length: 100 metres — cost-effective for moderate installations, stock or maintenance/tie-in work.

  • Material & performance: Polyolefin heat-shrink tubing features a wide operating temperature range (typically around –55 °C to +135 °C) when of standard quality and offers strong insulation, mechanical durability and chemical/abrasion resistance.

  • Shrink behaviour: Common heat-shrink tubing types use shrink ratios of 2:1, 3:1 or 4:1, meaning the final inner diameter after shrinking is roughly half, one-third or one-quarter of the original expanded size.

  • Applications: Ideal for electrical wiring and insulation, cable bundle protection, splices and terminations in industrial, automotive, control panel, telecom/IT and general-purpose installations — especially where blue colour is used for identification or compliance.

  • Installation guidance: Slide the un-shrunk tubing over the joint or cable end before making the connection. After the joint is completed, position the tubing and apply uniform heat (using a hot-air gun or other suitable heat source) until the tubing chemically contracts and forms a tight, conformal fit. Avoid direct open flame contact and ensure even heat distribution for optimal results.

  • Benefits:

    • Neat and professional finish for cable installations

    • Visual system organisation via colour-coding (blue)

    • Reliable insulation and environmental protection

    • Convenient 100 m roll length supports multiple runs or service stock with fewer roll changes
