The Phoenix Contact VAL-MS-EE-T1/T2-3+1-335 (Part No. 2910551) is a combined Type 1/Type 2 surge arrester designed to protect three-phase electrical supply systems from damaging overvoltage transients caused by lightning strikes and switching operations. It is suitable for 5-wire networks with separate neutral (N) and protective earth (PE), including L1, L2, L3, N and PE conductors, delivering coordinated protection at both main incoming and distribution panel levels.

This universal, varistor-based plug-in arrester provides fast response times (≤ 25–100 ns) to clamp surges and divert transient energy safely to earth. Designed for Lightning Protection Levels III and IV, it installs easily on a 35 mm DIN rail with screw-terminal connections and supports a broad range of conductor sizes.
